Nicholas Kuzmin

Nicholas Kuzmin, 83, died 2:55 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born December 6, 1922 in Zhizdra, Russia. Son of Andrew & Pelligaya Kuzmin. He immigrated to the United States in May 1950. Married to the former Maria Misiuk in Veclar, Germany on March 3, 1946. He was employed by Rockford Products Co. for 10 years, later worked for National Lock Company until retirement.Nicholas was a founding member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church. He was also a kind and generous man, rest in peace Dad. He is survived by his wife Maria, of Rockford.Three daughters, Olga (John) Haub of Portland, OR; Nadia (John) Spring, of Oregon City, OR; and Eugenia (Paul) Kuzmin-Walling, Portland, OR. His son Michael (Jane) Kuzmin, Rockford. Two grandchildren, Katerina Haub of Florence, AZ and Bronwyn Hart, Portland,OR. Four sisters, Katerina, Alexandra, Maria, and Valentina, all in Russia.Predeceased by his brothers, Grigory and Semyon. Services 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2006 in SUNDBERG FUNERALHOME LTD., with Fr. Dimitri Leussis, Pastor of Christ the Savior OrthodoxChurch, officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Parastas Service to follow, in SundbergFuneral Home.
