Maryann Wisniewski

Mary Leokadia (Mary Ann) Wisniewski, 91, of Rockford, IL died Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Fairhaven Christian Home. She was born in Chicago, IL to Michael and Cecelia (Lipowski) Wisniewski on October 31, 1932. She was married to Robert Suchy and they moved to Rockford, Illinois where she was a career secretary. Mary Ann had a long and tumultuous life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and lived in Texas for a short time. She returned to the Rockford area in 2011 and faced several challenges. She was strong-willed and with the assistance and support of many people, Mary Ann was able to overcome many of her issues.. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Leo Wisniewski. Attorneys Brian Larkin, Sherri Rudy, Ruth Robinson and Kimberly McKenzie were privileged to be part of Mary Ann’s life. Special thanks must go to Cathie Heilman who provided decades of care, compassion, and friendship to Mary Ann, as well as to Mary Ann’s “new” friend, Alton Kosek. The Funeral Service will be Friday January 19th, 2024, time 11:00 a.m. at the Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, IL. Monsignor Eric Barr to officiate. The burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois. Friends may visit on the day of the Funeral from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Condolences may be made to sundbergfh.com.
