Lidia Parfiewich passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024. She was born June 2, 1934, in Lubischchicy, Poland to her parents Simon and Melania Molosz. She immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1950 and two years later married Peter Parfiewich who preceded her in death in 2001.
Until her health condition made it impossible, Lidia loved to cook and bake, kept an immaculate house, and was highly skilled with crochet hooks and sewing. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, and foraging for wild mushrooms in the woods.
She is the proud mother of George (Judee) Parfiewich, Lila (Okey) Armentrout, and Rose (David Facchini) Brown; grandmother of Derek Parfiewich, Erek Armentrout, Dustin Armentrout, Tessa Parfiewich, Ryan Brown, Shanna Brown, and great-grandmother of Cheyenne, Brynna, Jameson, and Julian.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Anna Bohdanczyk, Kazia Wojtowicz, Bill Molosz, Jon Molosz, and her great-granddaughter Caiya.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, 1802 Pershing Ave, Rockford, IL, Friends may visit on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, IL. 61107.
