Donna L McNaughton Rever Nelson

Donna L. Nelson age 86 of Loves Park, Illinois died Friday January 5th, 2024, at Park Strathmore in Rockford. She was born in Rockford Illinois to Thomas and Nellie (Harding) McNaughton on January 2nd, 1938, at St. Anthony Hospital. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church and attended Muldoon Catholic School. She married two wonderful men. Her first husband was George E. Rever on July 11th, 1959, until the Lord took him home and to her current husband Donald E. Nelson since November 16th, 1985. Avid Bingo player loved going to the Casino. Past worthy president of the fraternal order Eagles Auxiliary and the Svithiod Auxiliary. Loved 'bumming around' with her granddaughter on Thursdays to garage sales and shopping.

Survived By: Husband - Donald E Nelson, Daughter - Pamela Mortimore, Son-in law- Billy Broughton Grandson- Brian Broughton, Granddaughter - Brandy Mortimore (Andrew Borchik) and Great-granddaughter- Chloe Broughton, and the countless members of the Nelson family.

Preceded in Death by:  Parents- Thomas A McNaughton & Nellie May Harding, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters, Husband- George Rever, Daughter - Patricia Broughton, Son-in-law- Allen Mortimore.

Funeral Service will be Thursday January 11th, 2024, time 12:00 p.m. and friends can call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Sundberg Funeral Home is care for the family.
